In the annals of human history, the Holocaust stands as a dark and shameful chapter, a testament to the depths of depravity to which humanity can sink. Amidst the unimaginable horrors of that time, however, there were also stories of hope and resilience, of individuals who defied the odds and emerged from the darkness with their spirits unbroken.

Until Victory Always Memoir is one such story. Written by Eva Schloss, a young woman who survived the horrors of the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp, this memoir offers a harrowing and inspiring account of survival and resilience. Through her vivid and unflinching prose, Schloss paints a stark picture of the unimaginable hardship and suffering she endured, while also offering a testament to the indomitable spirit of humanity.

Born in Vienna in 1929, Schloss was just a child when the Nazis came to power in Germany. Her family was forced to flee their home and seek refuge in the Netherlands. However, their safety was short-lived. In 1944, the Nazis invaded the Netherlands, and Schloss and her family were rounded up and sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau.

The conditions in the camp were beyond imagination. Schloss and her family were forced to live in overcrowded barracks, with little food or water. They were subjected to constant beatings and torture, and many of them died from disease or starvation.

Despite the horrors she endured, Schloss never gave up hope. She clung to the belief that one day she would be free. And in 1945, that day finally came. The Soviet army liberated Auschwitz-Birkenau, and Schloss was one of the few survivors.

After the war, Schloss immigrated to England, where she met and married Zvi Schloss, a fellow Holocaust survivor. Together, they built a new life and raised a family. However, Schloss never forgot the horrors she had witnessed, and she dedicated her life to speaking out about the Holocaust and fighting against intolerance and hatred.

Until Victory Always Memoir is a powerful and moving testament to the indomitable spirit of humanity. Schloss's story is a reminder that even in the darkest of times, hope can prevail. It is a must-read for anyone interested in history, the Holocaust, or the power of the human spirit.
